"1.Wake up; 2. Go to work; 3. Pay bills; 3A. Most bills anyway; 4. Go to sleep; 5. Repeat as necessary---Enjoyment by the numbers."

Jeff Johnson April 2008

If you are not enjoying yourself at all, you will quickly lose motivation, slack off, stop caring about your goals, and ultimately abandon your journey toward success. If you are not enjoying yourself, it does not mean you need to switch goals. Perhaps you need to look for the fun in your tasks, think of what new skills you can learn in the process of completing your task. James Dean once said, "Dream as if you'll live forever, and live as if you'll die today." Do you take time to pursue your passions or are you a slave to the daily grind? Many of us call it habit, or necessity, or just life.

If you are continually demonstrating negative or pessimistic attitudes, even if you think it is a way to remain realistic, you will drain yourself of energy, which could potentially lead to losing motivation and giving up. Instead practice positive thinking and maintaining the kind of attitude that you know successful people need to succeed. Envision yourself reaching goals, even if they are only for the end of the day. As Henry Ford once said, “If you think you can or think you can not—you are probably right.” A positive attitude almost always breeds positive results, but a negative attitude will do just the opposite. Happy thoughts breed happy people—even in the face of adversity.

For the next week let’s take one positive thought and think about it all day long. The next day add one to the first one; now continue to think about both of them. Keep this up until the end of the week and see if you do not feel better. We can STEP IT UP FORWARD STEPPERS.

I believe in you because, YOU ARE WORTH IT,
